A Kettle Creek Book

Pip-Small

by Micah Nilsson

Book Two, fourteen chapters

Pip and her grandfather mending a fence, her arms full of leaves.

Pip is Rocklemon's little sister. She is very small, very fast, and does not hold onto anything.

She goes through the gap in the Hollis fence after a kazoo, and there is a goat on the other side who would rather keep it. She loses a library book. She cannot sit still for the school picture, eleven times. She finds out how long the pipe under the crossroad really is.

And she asks the one question nobody in Kettle Creek has ever thought to ask.

More from Kettle Creek

Three books, one small valley town. The same slow green creek, the same water tower, and the same young rabbit who is somebody's cousin at every game and every party.
